I will always opt for something classic. No matter how many trends there are this year I truly believe that this classic look of a white blouse with a black pencil skirt showcase a sophisticated look with minimal effort. The skirt doesn’t have to be a pencil cut, you can change it up with an a-line, high waist, or even shorts. A look this simple can go with or without accessories. I’m in my 30’s so I have this theory that woman past the age of 30 should tone it down with the bright colours. A splash of colour or using colour as an accent is okay. But, bright crayon colours on pieces like a hooded sweater or an over sized sweater will create an image of childhood especially if you’re vertically challenged like myself.
If you hate shopping, at least buy this combo as it is extremely easy to put together.

My husband and I were in awe as we witnessed a 2 year old get on a 2-wheeler and sped off! A 2 year old! I learned how to use a 2-wheeler when I was 8 years old So, my husband and I did what any parent would do. Followed them. We asked the father about the bike and he raved about how easy it was for his girls to go from the strider to an actual 2-wheeler with pedals. The strider running bike does not have pedals nor does it have training wheels, so the child will condition themselves to balance and “stride”. We thought it was so cool.

I’ve noticed more and more boys sporting this 60’s-70’s do and I’m not too sure If I like it yet. My son is 4 and I stopped bringing him to the salon. I’ve jumped on the band wagon. Celebrities play a huge part on how we groom our kids… hair that is. I remember when Angelina had Maddox in a mohawk and every kid from White Rock to West End had this on themselves and their kids. My son is fortunate to have inherited my husband’s straight hair and not my wild, puffy creature which I call my hair. And while his hair does look good long, I do get tempted to take him to the hair dresser or even worse (cue the funeral music) cut it my self. My husband would go ape-sh#@ on me!
What’s next? The oh so popular 80’s mullet? I would never go that far. I think back in the 80’s a celebrity … probably a wrestler or country singer got a hair cut and the hair dresser got distracted and just didn’t finish. Then Boom! The mullet was born! No thank you. i
As I come closer to the (barf in my mouth) 40th year in my life… I realize how fast time goes by! Cliche – yes! But, getting older? – Oh God save me – especially my face! As I stare at my 30-something body in the mirror I see wrinkles only on the one part of my body which I expose indefinitely… MY FACE!!! While most ads are targeted to the very large baby boomer population, I too consider the purchase of anti-wrinkle cream. I’m being proactive. Right?
I miss my tight, glowing, flawless skin from high school. I would never consider plastic surgery. Correction. I would never consider plastic surgery to my face. Boobs are another story. Let’s just say my body resembles a chubby 12 year old boy.
Oh the things I’ve tried. I did masks made out of pretty much anything in my fridge. I’ve made pastes out of aspirin and water… saw it on a beauty forum. I exfoliate, peel, moisturize, hydrate… you name it! I know. I can’t stop the aging process, but what I can do is complain about it! AGGGGHHHHH! Help me!
